ABOUT
Karen Williams is a Storyboard Artist, Visual Development Artist, and Illustrator working across animation, films & games. Originally trained as a Film Editor on live-action feature films, her work is shaped by a strong foundation in cinematic language, rhythm, & visual storytelling.
She holds a Master’s degree in Visual Development from IDEA Academy, Rome, and is currently based in Rome, Italy. She is particularly interested in visual rhythm, creating images that feel cinematic, emotionally grounded, painterly, graphic, and intuitive.
When not drawing, she can usually be found in cosy cafés with books, studying films, exploring movement practices, traveling, researching, teaching, or drinking hot chocolate in all its forms.
